Church St. Marketplace
Located in the heart of Burlington, Church St. is a walkable street lined with restaurants, bars, shops and street performers. Some of Cait and James’s favorites are Ben and Jerry’s, Asiana Noodle Shop, and Honey Road.
Burlington bike and walking path
The Burlington Bikeway is a multi-use path that starts in Burlington, and extends up in the Champlain Islands. We highly recommend renting some hybrid bikes and riding up to the Causeway, the scenery is amazing! Bike rentals can be found at:
Local Motion (right ON the bike path)
The bike path turns into the Island Line Rail Trail. James and Cait love this! Information on the bike ferry to the Champlain islands. Bring cash!

Boat rentals
The Burlington Sailing center offers boat rentals for adventures out on Lake Champlain. Additionally, you can rental paddleboards at WND&WVS.

Shelburne Farms

Shelburne Farms is a nonprofit education center for sustainability, 1,400 acres working farm, and National Historic Landmark on the shores of Lake Champlain in Shelburne, Vermont. The property is nationally significant as a well-preserved example of a Gilded Age “ornamental farm”, developed in the late 19th century with architecture by Robert Henderson Robertson and landscaping by Frederick Law Olmsted.

Hikes
Red Rocks Hike (Very Easy)
Situated right next to the Burton Snowboards headquarters, this nature walk winds through a beautiful forest, and leads to epic cliff views of Lake Champlain. I’ve got lost here multiple times during lunch! Red Rocks Park
Lone Rock Point Hike (Easy)
Check out where we got engaged! Lone Rock Point is an easy walk to some cliffs that feature unique geology on Lake Champlain.
Mt Philo Hike (Easy/Moderate)
Located just south of Burlington, Mt. Philo is a nice uphill hike and features views of Lake Champlain. One your way back, grab beer and pizza at Fiddlehead. Or my favorite burger of all time @ Archies. Mt Philo Trail
Stowe Pinnacle Hike (Medium/Kinda difficult)
Located in the Stowe Valley, this 3.7 mile hike features amazing views of Mt. Mansfield and surrounding mountains. Grab some apple cider donuts after your hike, or a heady topper at The Alchemist. Stowe Pinnacle Trail
Mt Mansfield Hike (Difficult)
Hike Vermont’s tallest peak. This challenging ascent of Mt. Mansfield is 6.1 miles long, and includes spectacular 360 views. If you want to skip the hike, Stowe Mountain Resort offers a Gondola ride up too. Mansfield Sunset Ridge Hike
